SEPTA Cuts to regional rail will put 275,000 more cars on area roads
At a roundtable of elected officials and planning experts on SEPTA’s $213 million deficit, the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission estimated that proposed cuts to regional rail and bus routes will put 275,000 more cars on the area’s already overcrowded roadways. That will add to air pollution and could cost thousands of people their jobs because they will be unable to get to work.
