The League of Women Voters of Central Delaware County recently presented a webinar program on the concept of zero waste and what it means for mediating climate change. Presenter Alex Danovitch explained how we can move from a linear economy – the extraction of the raw materials, production of a product, and its distribution, use and ultimate disposal as waste and pollution – to a circular economy where we can keep reusing, recycling and transforming the components of a product to keep them out of incinerators and landfills.
