Open Space and Land Conservation
Environmentalists are concerned about preserving open space, such as parks, walking and biking trails, rain gardens, woods and forests, and greenbelts in densely populated urban and suburban areas. The development of open space results in the loss of farmland and natural resources and causes flooding.
