Delaware County Solar Tours – 10/8-13/2024 with Your Solar Neighbors, Schools and Municipalities

Celebrate US Dept. of Energy’s National Clean Energy Action Month and learn how to join the clean energy revolution and generate your own power! Brought to you by the Delaware County Office of Sustainability and non-profit Solarize Delco – anyone thinking about solar for their home, school or municipality now has an opportunity to learn about the costs, process, and benefits from neighbors who have already made the transition. “The Delco Solar Tour will not only highlight community members who are already harnessing free energy from the sun, but it will also promote real conversations among neighbors to inspire confidence and empower others to make the switch to solar”, said Interim Sustainability Director Rebecca Yurkovich.  Flyer!

The tour is the result of a partnership with homeowners, schools, and municipalities to showcase how they are already utilizing solar technologies to: 1) drastically reduce monthly energy bills, 2) reduce harmful carbon emissions, 3) enjoy significant tax credits and cash incentives, and 4) improve their property values. These tours provide a unique opportunity to see how various solar systems are integrated into different architectural styles, showcasing a range of practical and affordable solutions available today.
