CRCQL, other community groups say ‘NO’ to LNG terminal in Delco

Last week, CEO of Penn America, Franc James, boasted to the press that he met with White House officials about his project to build a colossal LNG export terminal in Delaware County, PA. There is absolutely no place to locate such a massive project that won’t pose unacceptable risks to the people and the environment here. That’s why the federal government advises these get placed in remote locations, far from vulnerable areas,” local organizations contend.

Fourth Annual Sustainability Conference – June 9-14

The Delaware County Office of Sustainability will be hosting the 4th Annual Delaware County Sustainability Conference the week of June 9th – 14th, 2025, as a hybrid event! this year’s conference will blend the enthusiasm and energy of the previous events, while improving accessibility and casting a wider net to allow more community members to take part in the conference.
Topics will be centered around the County’s six sustainability focus areas of natural resources, energy and efficiencies, transportation, zero waste, climate resiliency and health and wellness.

Delco Health Department Launches Lead Poisoning Awareness Campaign

The Delaware County Health Department (DCHD) has announced the launch of “Lead-Free in 1-2-3”, a comprehensive awareness campaign designed to reduce lead poisoning in Delaware County. The campaign’s theme “Is Lead Lurking in Your Home?” seeks to educate residents on the dangers of lead exposure, encourage testing, and promote prevention strategies.
