The 5th Annual Delaware County Sustainability Conference, hosted at Swarthmore College was a resounding success, so much so that registration quickly reached the 300-person cap. If you missed it or could not register, you can watch the morning sessions on video below.
Speakers included Steve Ward, Project Manager, Scranton Tomorrow, who described beautification and environmental improvement efforts now underway in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and Anneke van Rossum, Advancement & Advocacy Coordinator, Delaware Riverkeeper Network and Robert Routh, Pennsylvania Policy Director, Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), who provided an overview of the energy and environmental consequences of the rapid growth of data centers throughout the state.
Becca Yurkovich, Sustainability Officer, Delaware County Office of Sustainability, described the many milestones and successes the office has achieved in its six years of planning and work to make Delaware County cleaner and more resilient to climate change and extreme weather.
