Let’s Go to Harrisburg Sept. 29 for Environment Lobby Day

Have you ever been curious about environmental lobbying or wanted to learn how you could become more effective when advocating for the environment in your community?
You’re invited to PennFuture and Conservation Voters of Pennsylvania’s first ever joint LOBBY DAY for environmental issues in Harrisburg on Monday, September 29, 2025.
This is an opportunity for you to learn all about what takes place when interest groups go into the State Capitol to lobby elected representatives – and you’ll get a chance to talk directly to your regional elected officials about the environmental bills you care about. AND you’ll help strengthen our collective environmental voice to get 5 key environmental bills passed this fall!
Our joint teams will give you everything you need — in-person training, materials, and we’ll be right there with you.
Pennsylvania currently ranks 45th in the nation for clean energy investment. Meanwhile, grid operators like PJM are planning even more rate hikes — and pushing clean energy further out of reach.
Less than 5% of Pennsylvania’s electricity currently comes from cheaper, home-grown clean energy sources like solar, wind, and battery storage – which are the only new energy sources that can be deployed quickly to meet the rising energy demand.
It doesn’t have to be this way.
We’ll be calling on the Pennsylvania House to pass critical legislation that will:
•             Lower energy bills and expand clean energy jobs
•             Reduce pollution and build stormwater resilience
•             Support frontline communities hit hardest by climate change
You’ll have the opportunity to meet directly with your state representative and senators to make your voice heard.
