he Delaware County Health Department (DCHD) has announced the launch of “Lead-Free in 1-2-3”, a comprehensive awareness campaign designed to reduce lead poisoning in Delaware County. The campaign’s theme “Is Lead Lurking in Your Home?” seeks to educate residents on the dangers of lead exposure, encourage testing, and promote prevention strategies.
More than 80 people from all over the area turned out March 4 to support the passage of PA House Bill 109, which would require the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection to impose additional requirements when considering permitting requests from polluting industries in environmental justice areas.
National Geographic Explorer and Explorers Club Fellow Rachael Z. Miller will tell us about her work to keep both macro and microplastic out of our public waterways, in a Zoom presentation March 13 at 7 p.m.
