DESCRIPTION:Fighting for the Stop Trashing our Air Act in Philadelphia with a Die-In protest. \nPhilly City Council will be voting on whether to stop sending trash to the Reworld incinerator located in Chester on April 9th. That is why we are having a “Die In” on the steps of Philly City Hall on April 7th at 9:30 AM\, to demonstrate the catastrophic effects of Reworld’s trash incinerator. This incinerator is the main contributor of pollution to our community and because of that we have increased incidents of cancer\, asthma\, and other health risks. DESCRIPTION:This bill would ban Philly from burning their trash in Chester City at Reworld/Covanta\, the largest trash incinerator in the U.S. and one of the biggest polluters in our region. \nIn anticipation of this vote\, CRCQL is asking all its members\, allies and friends to support this bill by contacting City Council Members and Mayor Parker (call script)\, give comment and/or join us at our rally.  There are many ways you can publicize this bill and help get the word out! \nCRCQL member and musician Bigga Dre will be hosting a Rally at The Rotunda (4014 Walnut St.) to generate awareness about the Stop Trashing Our Air Act (STOA)!
