DESCRIPTION:As a courtesy FYI\, the agenda for the Wednesday\, September 2\, 2026\, 3Q Delaware River Basin Commission (DRBC) Business Meeting is available at http://www.nj.gov/drbc/meetings/upcoming/. \nThe September 2\, 2026\, Business Meeting will include the following \n\nAdoption of the Minutes of the Commission’s June 11\, 2026\, business meeting\nAnnouncement of upcoming meetings and events;\nA report on hydrologic conditions;\nReports by the Executive Director and the Commission’s General Counsel; and\nConsideration of any items for which a hearing has been completed or is not required.\n\nThe agenda is expected to include consideration of the resolution and draft dockets for withdrawals\, discharges\, and other projects that are subjects of the public hearing on August 5\, 2026. There will be no opportunity for additional public comment for the record at the September 2 Business Meeting on items for which a hearing was completed on August 5 or a previous date. Commission consideration on September 2 of items for which the public hearing is closed may result in approval of the item (by docket or resolution) as proposed\, approval with changes\, denial or deferral. When the Commissioners defer an action\, they may announce an additional period for written comment on the item\, with or without an additional hearing date\, or they may take additional time to consider the input they have already received without requesting further public input. DESCRIPTION:Join Solarize Greater Philadelphia and the Sierra Club to find out why now is the best time for municipalities to invest in solar. \nOn-site solar can help make energy costs more predictable and keep energy budgets stable for your municipality. We’ll hear from two municipalities that have installed solar and one that is planning to install solar. \nThere are currently two federal credits available that reduce the cost of solar significantly. A 30% Federal Investment Tax Credit and a 10% Community Energy credit (in some areas) are available for systems installed and operating by December 31\, 2027. A 10% domestic content credit is also available. To meet the end of 2027 deadline\, projects should start their feasibility and financial analysis by this September. \nWe’ll also hear about Solarize’s services to help a municipality through the feasibility\, financial analysis\, and RFP process.
