SUMMARY:Tree Care Program in Chester\, Ridley & Crum Creek Watersheds
DESCRIPTION:Traditionally CRC has wrapped up the spring tree care season in May and started up again in September.  This year we are launching a robust tree care program that will run throughout the summer months!  While it’s not the best time to plant new trees\, it is a great time to care for trees we have already planted.\n\nWork will include re-mulching\, removing old cages/stakes and placing new ones if needed\, and clearing out weeds and invasives.\n\nSome sites need only 3-5 volunteers\, some need 10-15 people\, while other sites can take unlimited help!\n\nIf you can help\, please respond and let me know the dates when you can volunteer.  Once we reach capacity for each site\, I will ask additional willing helpers to sign up for other sites in need.\n\nI will email details to all registered volunteers\, including exact address and parking instructions\, the week of each event.  \n\nWednesday 7/7 in Chester from 10am-12pm\nFriday 7/10 in Media from 9am-12pm\nFriday 7/17 in Media from 9am-12pm\n\nSaturday\, 7/25 in Springfield from 9am-12pm\n\nFriday 7/31 in Glen Mills from 9am-12pm\nFriday 8/7 in Newtown Square from 9am-12pm\n\nCRC thanks you and the trees thank you!\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLynn Meza\nDirector of Volunteerism \nCRC (Chester Ridley Crum) Watersheds Association\nwww.crcwatersheds.org

SUMMARY:Clean Air Council’s Community Air Monitoring meeting
DESCRIPTION:Clean Air Council has gathered and interpreted real-time air quality data from nearly 60 Purple Air monitors installed across South and Southwest Philadelphia and Southern Delaware County. Beyond the data\, our program supports local residents in sharing their stories\, protecting their health\, and advocating for environmental justice. Two of our air monitor hosts were featured in these articles here and here. In this meeting we will share data analysis updates and hear stories from our air monitor hosts on how they are using our community air monitoring network\, taking action\, reporting concerns\, and protecting our right to clean air! \nHave you had any recent air quality concerns or are you interested in sharing how you are using the air monitoring data in your own life and community? Let us know and we would love to lift up your stories and examples in our meeting.

SUMMARY:Newlin Grist Mill Site Hike and Forest Bathing ($)
DESCRIPTION:Join Newlin Grist Mill and Dee McGrath on a three-mile hike noting points of local historic interest! \n\n\n\n\nJoin us for a slow-paced\, three-mile hike with some elevation. We will hike approximately one mile to the Old Christmas Tree Farm\, noting local history along the way. Once we reach the forest\, we will spend 10 minutes quietly enjoying the sounds of nature to clear our minds. We will then head back down\, passing additional historical points of interest. Hiking boots or sturdy shoes are recommended\, and please remember to bring water.\nThe hike will be led by Dee McGrath \nDolores (Dee) McGrath\nSince retiring 13 years ago\, Dee has focused on challenging herself physically a atnd mentally. She is a long-term member and former Vice President (2021–2025) of a local hiking club\, where she currently heads the Communication Committee and serves on the hike scheduling committee. In December 2025\, she received the KTA Achievement Award for her extraordinary work on projects benefiting Pennsylvania hikers and trails.
