SUMMARY:Bring Your Own New Clean Energy: Powering PA's Data Center Energy Demand

DESCRIPTION:Our public lands belong to all of us. These are the forests you hiked as a kid. The river your family fishes every summer. The national monument you visited with friends on vacation. These irreplaceable landscapes and waters are under attack by corrupt politicians who want to sell them off to the highest bidder\, one backroom deal at a time. \nThat’s why on Wednesday\, July 29\, we’re hosting a virtual hour of action with Sierra Club’s Executive Director Loren Blackford to protect our public lands together. \nJoin Us! \nDuring our action hour together\, we’ll: \nGet the scoop: Hear from Sierra Club’s Executive Director Loren Blackford about what’s happening and how we can effectively fight back to protect our lands and waters.\nTake action: Learn why we’re calling our members of Congress\, how to call effectively\, and watch a live preview so you know exactly what to say. Then\, we’ll make our calls together.\nConnect and grow: During our short breakout session\, learn from other advocates from around the country\, and discuss how we can strengthen our movement. Because the more of us who show up\, the harder we are to ignore!

SUMMARY:Fracking Fuels Data Centers – Protective Buffers Make Communities Safer
DESCRIPTION:Join the Protective Buffers PA coalition on Wednesday\, July 29\, at 7 p.m. for a discussion on how the proposed AI data center buildout in Pennsylvania could lead to more fracking in our communities. \nRegister here! \nYou’ll hear from experts about the risks that increased fracking poses to human health and the environment\, and why increased protective buffer distances from new fracking wells are needed more than ever. Importantly\, you’ll learn about how you can join the movement working to better protect our communities. \nProtective Buffers PA is a coalition of advocates currently petitioning the PA Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to increase the minimum allowed distances (or\, “protective buffers”) between new fracking well pads and our homes\, schools\, businesses\, and waterways. While the DEP considers the petition\, we need your help to demonstrate that there is broad support for this protective change. \nRegister today for the July 29 webinar! \n
