SUMMARY:Ribbon Cutting for Darby Creek Trail Extension!
DESCRIPTION:Riders of the Darby Creek Trail will be familiar with the frequent need to hop on the road to get from segment to segment. Thanks to the persistence of Haverford Parks and Rec\, riders and walkers of the trail will now enjoy an unbroken trip from West Chester Pike to McDonald Field. Come celebrate that at Merry Place on October 10. Bike Delco will be there\, as well! Note: Parking will be at a premium\, so they recommend people park at McDonald Field and walk to Merry Place. Or bike!

SUMMARY:DATA CENTER IN TRAINER/LOWER CHI - PUBLIC MEETING
DESCRIPTION:CRCQL will be hosting a follow up public meeting ONLINE on the data center proposed in Trainer/Lower Chichester at the former Congoleum Site. We will be joined by Delaware Riverkeeper Network and Physicians for Social Responsibility. \nThis meeting will discuss the project\, potential impacts to the immediate community and greater Delco\, and what residents can do. We will be holding this meeting in lieu of our regular bi-weekly community meeting on Zoom. \nRegister at ChesterPaEJ.org/meeting. \nWHAT:     DATA CENTER IN TRAINER/LOWER CHI – PUBLIC MEETING\nWHEN:    Thursday\, October 15 at 7pm\nWHERE:  ONLINE – OPEN TO ALL – Register here \nWHY: \nLink Logistics is set on building a data center in Trainer/Lower Chichester. There have been stirrings about this project over the past months with public officials withholding knowledge about the project. A public notice issued Saturday 9/12 confirmed the Trainer Zoning Officer issued a preliminary favorable opinion in support of a data center at 4001 Ridge. Rd. (formerly 4401)\, the old Congoleum factory site. Residents and community groups are concerned about the impact this will have on the surrounding neighborhoods and region.
