You may have noticed the number on your electricity bill creeping higher and higher; unfortunately, this increase in cost is unlikely to stop anytime soon. In fact, electricity bills in the PJM interconnection region – which serves Pennsylvania and the surrounding states – are expected to surge even higher this summer as a result of capacity constraints and an overreliance on fossil fuels.
