Webinar: Reducing Emissions of Methane and Other Pollution from Oil and Natural Gas Operations (40 CFR Part 60, Subparts OOOOb and OOOOc)

April 1 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EDT

The EPA methane standards were finalized in December of 2023 and established stronger, protective standards against oil and gas pollution. States are now in the process of designing how they will implement the rule at the state level. This webinar is part of the Pennsylvania DEP’s meaningful engagement process and will provide attendees with the opportunity to learn more about the DEP’s approach, and submit questions and feedback during the webinar. Attending this event and asking DEP for the strongest possible rule is a great way to work to reduce pollution in your own community.

The Department of Environmental Protection’s Bureau of Air Quality will be providing an overview to the public on the Department’s approach to implementing 40 CFR Part 60, Subparts OOOOb and OOOOc: Reducing Emissions of Methane and Other Pollution from Oil and Natural Gas Operations. There will be an opportunity for the public to submit feedback. Those who wish for the Department to respond to their feedback should still plan to submit formal written comments during the formal public comment period.
