Stream Restoration Planting Day at St. Martin’s in Radnor!
St. Martin’s Episcopal Church is blessed to be located on about five acres of property in Radnor, PA. The outside area near the church building has been designated “St. Martin’s Park.” A grant was awarded to help the church restore a stream running through the property to a healthy, biodiverse condition. The first planting day will be June 14th. People are invited to stop by throughout the morning. The parking lot entrances are along Glenmary Road between King of Prussia Road and Belrose Lane in Radnor.
St. Martins has been expanding the “park area” for the enjoyment of more people. They are inviting parishioners and the wider community to spend time on benches reading, using the natural space for renewal, and learning more about how to manage the natural environment right in their own area. This environmental stewardship reflects their commitment to growing relationships both in and beyond churches. Years of inattention can be addressed in positive ways. St. Martin’s is partnering with LandHealth Institute, along with other interested organizations and schools, in this restoration endeavor.
