Transition Town Greater Media is hosting a film screening and discussion of “The Great Simplification: A Film on Energy, Environment, and Our Future”, by Nate Hagens presented by Institute for the Study of Energy & Our Future. The film examines energy, the environment, the economy, human evolutionary psychology, the aggregate of 8 billion humans on a finite earth, and what it all means for our future.

The evening will start with a short excerpt from The Battle Against Climate Change, a documentary by Paul Kingsnorth that asks a crucial question for our time.

The film is 33 minutes long. Discussion will follow, centered on the question posed by Paul Kingsnorth and informed by The Great Simplification. This is a chance to contemplate what infrastructure will best serve our 21st century needs and discuss it in a supportive space.
