November 12 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm EST

As generative AI becomes more realistic, our ability to trust the videos and photos we see online is decreasing.

This feels especially pertinent with tomorrow being election day (don’t forget to vote!) as more and more lies spread about elections and voting.

Bad actors are actively trying to disseminate disinformation about climate change, public health, and human rights issues, and using AI tools to create believable content to sell their narrative. With social media companies caving to Trump and refusing to censor lies, we all have to learn how to spot disinformation better.

Join us for a one hour online workshop:

  • What: Scroll Smarter: How to Fact Check on Social Media
  • When: Wednesday, Nov 12, at 4 pm PT/7 pm ET
  • Where: Zoom (we’ll share the link after signup)

Let us know if you can make it on Wednesday, November 12, here.

Can’t join the workshop live? Sign up anyway, and we’ll send you the slides and recording after the event.

We are not experts on AI, but together we can discuss what’s happening right now, how we can better spot manipulative and inaccurate content, and how we can help the people we love avoid being misled by fake photos or videos.

You’ll walk away from this workshop with the skills you need to:

  • Fact check the information you see on social media
  • Better tell the difference between real and fake photos and videos online
  • Find credible sources of online information

Sign up to join live, or to receive the recording!
