About Us
The League of Women Voters (LWV) is a nonpartisan civic organization that encourages Informed and active participation in government.
The League of Women Voters of Delaware County has developed a Delaware County Environmental Clearinghouse as a central repository for the collection, classification, and distribution of information regarding environmental issues, projects, studies, articles, etc. for Delaware County, PA. This work was supported by a generous grant from the League of Women Voters of Pennsylvania.
Through the work of our local Leagues (Central Delaware County and Radnor Township) and specifically the efforts of the LWV of Delaware County Environmental Committee, we have identified many environmental groups and initiatives taking place throughout Delaware County. The Leagues in Delaware County consider the creation of an environmental clearinghouse a vital need to bring these environmental resources together in a searchable online resource to help share, spark ideas and prompt advocacy throughout Delaware County.
To help collaborate and envision how to create an Environmental Clearinghouse, the League hosted an in-person meeting of stakeholders together to discuss what information the website would include for Delaware County.
