For this session, we will be joined by President and CEO of PennFuture, Patrick McDonnell. In his presentation, he will discuss how the rapid growth of data centers is creating new and interconnected questions for communities across the Delaware River watershed and beyond, particularly around water demand, energy use, land development, and environmental protection. This presentation will look at those pressures from a Pennsylvania policy and advocacy perspective, highlight the choices facing states and communities as data-center development accelerates, and explore opportunities to ensure that growth is consistent with climate, clean-water, and land-use goals.
