Fracking Fuels Data Centers – Protective Buffers Make Communities Safer

Join the Protective Buffers PA coalition on Wednesday, July 29, at 7 p.m. for a discussion on how the proposed AI data center buildout in Pennsylvania could lead to more fracking in our communities.
You’ll hear from experts about the risks that increased fracking poses to human health and the environment, and why increased protective buffer distances from new fracking wells are needed more than ever. Importantly, you’ll learn about how you can join the movement working to better protect our communities.
Protective Buffers PA is a coalition of advocates currently petitioning the PA Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to increase the minimum allowed distances (or, “protective buffers”) between new fracking well pads and our homes, schools, businesses, and waterways. While the DEP considers the petition, we need your help to demonstrate that there is broad support for this protective change.
